Where was i..

haha.. been writting lots of drafts for updates..
but none of it really made it to my blog..
cos internet explorer's been really funny with me..

just formatted my comp to sort of clear things up
haha.. making it no better than it was initially..
despite the increase in ram.. boo!

my holiday's been so happening, it's truely one of a kind..
hmm
from ddp,red cross song sign,big walk,cor,bs2,cycling,futsal,
hong kong trip, kl trip,last xmas chalet, prata supper..
every bit every moment..

*ddp*
experienced working with really a great bunch of ppl..
made a micro mouse robot work and walk.. follow lines
tranverse through a maze, returning wat it saw in the maze to us..
and even making it enter the competition.. to run against other mouses
though we didn't win anything..
things to remember:
going to nata's windy house to draw the maze
4am in school,
tweaking the mouse to sprint while we're trying to stay awake
next day 830 in school again to train our mouse..
we made a miracle happen at the last min..
at the end of the 5 weeks.. :)

performed for red cross song sign..
didn't expect to get so involved in song sign.. but i guess there are exceptions
kinda enjoyed it.. though i made lotsa blunders.. haha..
mainly cos the company's great.. :D n song signing is fun!
things to remember:
practising under the stars :D
dancing ballet in front of esplanade with no restrains.. haha.. :P
double song sign with ah hai! haha.. super got mo qi! :)
the "memories" by kopi! haha :P

*big walk*
haha.. we finally organised those rare last xmas outing to exercise.. haha.. :P
but it was great fun n great workout too.. :) walking 10km..
n getting free coupons for mac sundae (haha.. i rem!)
as always, last xmas outings are chop chop jio, chop chop settle kind..haha

one major highlight for the holidays! :D haha.. cor..
v v de last min joined cor cos relented under persuasion from junior,zh n yx..
hahaa.. but no regrets! :) the experience was eye opening n left memories for a lifetime.. :)
things to remember:
playing cards with ah hai, chaoliang, alvin n jiahuan under the stars outside our tent, illuminated by our ah hai's headlight.. haha.. n our sleep under the stars.. :)
my gunshot wound by leeches.. haha..
getting unsuspecting lured to be taopok by ws,yx n youli.. haha..
n... the sunrise by desaru beach! :D my first ever sunrise.. n the sunrise tat will always hath tat special place in me.. :)
haha.. the ou xiang stuff we did on the beach.. n the meng huan stuff we shouted.. :) hahaa.. ar.. sunrise crew! :D

*bs2*
took bs2 in the holidays.. haha.. sort of addicted to sign language am i.. though i'm so slow in reading n signing.. i actually do like doing them.. hahaa.. :P
things to remember: i think my cert's still with ws.. haha.. :P

*curl*
went a while for curl.. no chance to kayak but had fun eating hotdogs!! haha.. n taking photos n videos with mei,van,jun,jiahui,zhixuan.. :)

*cycling*
yay! finally went back to east coast to cycle.. after super long time..
went with kenneth,yx n van.. :) though only we few.. it was memorable.. :)
haha.. n the videos we took.. haha.. though i nvr got to see it.. it's fun! :)
haha.. bedok jetty was damn windy.. (gone with the wind :)) haha..
plus watching wc at nite at cine, left early though.. :)

*futsal*
went to help out during deaf futsal soccer competition as ball picker.. haha..
first time seeing how the hi play soccer.. n also seeing how strong some of them can be.. hahaa.. will remember the starlike attitude num 10 player and the experience of sitting behind the goalpost n catching balls dangerously.. :)
lotsa old chang kee to eat for food.. n going to chomp chomp for first time and also orientation games at jec.. the hu jiao ji tui tao chan thingy was funny though i had reservations.. haha.. :P hm.. :)

*hk trip*
set off for hong kong with cousins n cousins.. to the world of wantons as said by ah hai.. haha.. visited the legenday magical disneyland.. ahh... so meng huan there! :) though not recommended to go there for rides.. the performances were musical world class like.. plus the various other attractions.. n.. the chance to take photo with many life size mickey mouse characters! :) the 4D theatre was zhan as well! :) though expenses can be rather high inside.. the overall experience was magical n a dream.. :) oh.. the fireworks there was extravagant n nice! :)
not much to say abt ocean park though.. much of a disappointment.. haha.. but maybe cos we're spoilt by disneyland.. hahaaa.. :P
hm.. attractions wise.. we visited the nite markets.. haa.. busy nite markets..
oh!! the cha chan ting! great.. :) haha.. though there're exceptions.. but we tried the cha chan tings! haa.. food tasted v much like restaurant food.. costs ard 10 bucks per meal.. :) ex but nice! rem to try zhu pa fan.. :P hahaa.. addiction.. haha..
oh.. the wantons were big as well.. n the wanton noodles were soup based de. Try it in soup for best hongkie experience. :) had bo luo bao on the top of business buildings, hot n nice.. oh.. the milk tea was too bitter for our liking though.. oh.. must try the chee cheong fan as well.. they had peanut butter in it.. tastes not bad! :) oh.. not forgetting.. dim sum! how can go hong kong.. nvr eat dim sum! :)
yummy! fat juicy prawns! :D ordered fish porridge n the serving was so large.. hahaa.. all the dim sum super makes me miss the dim sum buffets with last xmas! :P
oh!! how could i nearly forget.. the gigantic hotdogs they sell everywhere!! hahaa.. u can even find huge hot dogs in seven elevens there!! :D

two good food places u can find at lotsa places in hong kong, cos they hath lotsa outlets, do try it! :)
1) Xu Liu Xiang (sells superbly pretty n good desserts ^_^ try the sagos like mango sago n watermelon sago.. really really good)
2) Bai Jia Le (it's a chinese, western food restaurant. But they sell things like fast food style.. dun let the style fool u.. cos it's really good! serving large, food sedap n best of all value for money esp when u compare with the normal cha chan ting.. really really good)

TL's friendly note: look at the roadside stalls food before buying
the curry fish ball (ka li yu dan) varies in style from stall to stall.. do select wat suits ur taste best! :D haha..

*kl trip*
haha.. talking abt food.. this is another oh my god trip.. hahaa.. :P got jioed to go KL when i was in hk.. :) went with ah hai,ws n yx.. initially everything felt normal.. haha.. just an excursion trip to visit another foreign place.. :) but.. things started to change when we started our eating frenzy! hahaa.. :P think the spark tat triggered was A&W (rite? :P) haha.. forming of CUFL.. hahaa.. it was eat n eat non stop for us.. more money was spent on our food then anything else.. wahaha! Rule of the thumb for CUFL : nvr eat more than u can chew.. haha..
cos it's 2 hours every meal.. imagine a full A&W meal plus waffles with ice cream followed by 8 dunkin donuts n ice coffees.. *puking* hahaa.. :P
duck satays for supper.. A&W for every day.. oh my! :D haha.. one highlight was our pizza hut dinner! 3 person eat 4 person combo! :D n only ard 6 dollars a person! :) haha.. secret recipe was great there.. except for uncooked food for last dinner..
haha.. oh.. the xi mut milk tea was ahemly se mo.. haha..
haha.. oh man.. i miss eating good food! :) CUFL peepz, CUFL rocks! haha.. minus the big tummies n flabby arms we hath..
overall, navigating through KL with them was exciting! :) just take a map ard n ask ppl how to get to places.. took lrt, monorail, taxi, bus n mostly depend on our trusty kas to get ard.. :) last day we took super royal cao yuan kuai ce back to singapore (TL friendly note: buy coach tix at KL cheaper!), the coach was double decked, widely spaced n shuang! haha..
not forgetting our sleazy hotel(motel) which was infested with xiao qiangs.. haha.. :P oh.. n the "meeting place" haha..

*last xmas chalet*
this was the largest scale project last xmas undertook yet :) initial plan was to stay 3 days 2 nites. unexpectedly, time extended by zz cousin.. haha.. so.. we had 4 days 3 nites at ALOHA LOYANG. :) haha.. the place was big.. n the first day felt empty.. haha.. cos only few of us.. :) time was spent playing mahjong, zz n yx teaching pq n hz the ropes of playing while me n pat busied ourselves in the kitchen washing plates n bowls n marinating chicken n cutting watermelon.. :) also watched nostalgic films like dong cheng xi jiu, shrek 2 n the movie by sandra bullock n hugh grant.. :)
next day was the day of the bbq n the day we rent lotsa bikes! :) double bikes rode by one person felt like driving bendy buses (hahaa.. as said by hl), we riding with the wind, felt v shuang.. :)
then it was bbq time.. ate n ate.. woo.. little hotdogs this time though.. sad.. haha.. played wu lin meng zhu n hai dai with kopi! haha.. n zhong ji mi ma with mingde n kang jian they all..
haha.. nite cycling warm up after the nostalgic film of mo den ru lai shen zhang by andy lau.. rode a double with pat for a while cos ws say he not confident..
followed by fen si who was my radio for a while.. :)
then it was the real stuff! haha.. was given a rather lok kok double bike to ride with pat to changi village.. :P everything was smooth until uphill came.. then it was downhill for us.. haha.. rem the funny stuff our tag team said hor.. :)
hmm.. didn't really hath chance to use much of our skills.. haha.. cos we crashed, and we nearly fell down to the canal.. causing pat to scratch her knee quite badly..

hmm.. next day while everyone was sleeping, me n ah hai went to tease pq abt her qian bei bu zui incident.. haha.. :P we also teased hz abt her ahem.. hahaa.. :P
funny morning for teasing n eating ya kun.. me n ah hai also pretended to leave but it turned out everyone sleeping n no one knew.. haha..
then it was more cycling n spinning at the playground.. haha.. n nite cycling again! haha.. hm.. this time everyone seh diao n slept at the breakwater, while me,ah hai n grace sang to the dawn, bringing back many fond nostalgia from lotsa eras.. starring hits like deng li jun's songs n stand by me.. haha.. :)

overall, one word to describe will be seh.. (seh as 3 days without sleeping is seh.. but to last the 3 days was seh! :) ) last xmas outings rock! haha.. :) really..

*fireworks n prata supper*
went to watch fireworks on 12th aug with cinema peepz, met lotsa feng jie frens as well (feng jie! no matchmaking le! thanks.. haha..) chopped really good seats at the overhead expressway cos we were there early.. :) nuahed and chatted as ppl sat on my face.. (literally :P) When fireworks nearly started we received distress call from *knocks head* wq.. :P hahaa.. it was a stunt to squeeze out of crowd unscathed for me n cd as we went to fetch her. It shd be quite a fast thing but we horland in marina area.. haha.. n wasted lotsa time before we finally found her (not ur fault k :)).. in the end, we caught fireworks from hotel continental there.. :) though it was a diff place.. at least we found her n no one is alone watching fireworks.. :) beautiful fireworks.. ^_^

the nite was still young or so we felt for cd,potato girl,feng jie, ah boy n me.. haha.. n it was supper time! cd drove us to eat prata at upper thomson! oh my! we ate prata until the whole table was practically filled n prata was like a small hill high! :D nice! with delicacies like durian prata, banan prata, ice cream prata, mushroom n cheese prata, mee goreng, sambal chicken! woo!

we had teh overdose too.. hahaa.. cos we passed a roadblock on the way to the secret place.. haha.. n everyone was frantically trying to look normal (although we are :P).. haha.. all of us slipped into this hysterics.. haha.. nan wang de hao xiao.. :P hmm first time at the secret place n it was wonderful.. ^_^ though the police caught up with us *imagines police car following us* haha.. but to eat n tan xin till 5am in the morning was nice! :) let's do it again, nite supper gang! :D

and still missing the coverage abt pitstop with clementi n our batch peepz.. :P
n also the various welcome tea n interview sessions..
but.. i'm running out of energy.. cos this entry took me 2 n a half hours to complete.. now it's 245am le.. shall concuss.. nitez!
