Memoirs of a Z Excursion.. :P

haha.. so long nvr post anything..
was contemplating between posting a full update or just this excursion i had..
due to popular demand from some of those who updated their blogs.. haha.. :P decided to leave the full update aside for another beautiful day.. anyway...

The idea for this trip began many weeks back.. haha.. before the month of may, we were already planning to go to the zoo.. haha.. yes u heard it right.. the ZOO.. (background music : we're going to the zoo zoo zoo, how abt u u u?) haha.. we planned to go during the month of may.. supposingly the 28th of may.. but well, due to some unforseen circumstances, things didn't turn out as planned.. :P and part of our party was stuck doing work.. as a result, we had to push it 2 weeks back.. into the month of june (to be precise 11th of june), wld hath been earlier, if not for my eca election ( cover tat another day.. :P )
(p/s: most of us were quite stunned when we heard the suggestion of going zoo from wq at first.. haha.. but somehow she managed to convince us to the extent tat we were so excited abt going hence the turn down on 28th was quite hard for us to swallow.. -_o )

*skips skips to 10th june*
anyway, the day before the fateful day..emotions were raring.. everyone was high in anticipation..(haha.. not really.. being exaggerrating here.. :P)
haha.. the 2 da xiao jie were working closing shifts while i was in my usual sleepy mode at home.. ah boy n cd worked mid shift too.. (hm.. i didn't noe abt ah erh.. :P ) anyway..to meet up with the 2 xiao jies after their work, me, ah boy n cd decided to watch kungfu mahjong at 2315.. (funny show.. :D ) we watched until 1+ am when the 2 xiao jies hath finished their work.. cd drove us then to prime supermarket to buy groceries.. (groceries for wat? haha.. for sandwiches we making..weird idea i suggested to ah boy the other time.. n it turned out everyone was gian abt the idea.. haha.. :P ). We reached the supermarket at ard 2+am.. bought ingredients like bread, mushrooms, cheese etc.. to be kept at my home, then cd drove us home, with ah boy staying over at my house.

*11th june, wee hours*
reaching home at ard 3am in the morning, me and ah boy turned in immediately, cos this day will be a long day for us.. unfortunately for me, i didn't manage to catch a wink (either i'm too excited.. or the mood's not right.. haha.. ). I was just starting to hath my first dream when the alarm rang at 6am.. o.O aye.. hath to morning call everyone to wake them up.. wah liew.. didn't even remember me sleeping at all loh.. haha..
so ah boy called them one by one.. at 6am.. while i was still recovering from my lack of sleep (stoning actually). haha..tat didn't last long either.. morning calls are not chit chat calls.. :P and soon i began emitting unearthly versions of wu ke qun's "wu ke qun" song.. haha.. must be the lack of sleep.. also began fiddling with the com in my room and the digital camera.. haha.. first time taking photos 6+ am in the morning.. and singing pop songs.. haha..
at ard 8, they were here. in total 3, wq, hm and cd.. haha.. first time any gv ppl come my house wor.. and first time any girls (my frens to be exact) came to my house wor.. haha.. wq n hm honoured hor.. :P haha.. well.. think my mum was rather excited too.. *rolls eyes* haha.. to see me got frens (girls) to invite home.. wahaha.. anyway.. i sidetracked.. haha.. :P
ok.. we began making sandwiches for breakfast to bring to zoo.. got four types : peanut butter (crunchy type), luncheon meat (fried(wq's preference) n microwaved(hm's preference)) and mushrooms mixed pea pizza sandwiches.. yummy.. haha.. the process was fun.. though we aren't exactly tat professional in making such stuff.. : ) the cooking n phototaking session ended ard 9+am. Since we meeting ah erh n his potato salad at ard 1030 am, there was still time, cd n jq began playing winning eleven and wq her phone? ^o) hm was playing with lf2.. haha.. she buey zai de.. *rolls eyes* :P haha.. ( sidenote: haha.. i was trying to rest my eyes while they were entertaining themselves.. :P )
late in meeting ah erh we were, but the wait for the bus to the zoo was as long as the train ride to choa chu kang was.. while waiting, me n cd kept smelling the food cos our stomachs were growling..haha.. not like someone who had ate ba zhang and tomatoes.. *rolls eyes again* :P hee.. anyway.. ah erh's potato smelled extremely nice n looked delicious.. especially when it's on my lap n i'm holding it.. *growl growl* hee.. ;)

*The Zoo*
finally reaching our destination, the entrance fees were supposed to be 14 dollars each.. however due to some surprises, our 2 xiao jies' entrance fees become tat of a child ($7)
wahaha.. they're still young huh? :P but it's still nice la.. cos they could share the rest of the costs with us.. =) coupled with discount coupons from dunno where.. o.O we only had to pay 60 dollars for 6 persons.. relatively cheaper than we had planned.. we didn't take the tram ride n decided to cover the whole zoo by foot.. which was a good idea provided i had energy..oops.. haha.. cos i was practically dreaming n stoning.. walking ard in ban meng ban xing zi jian.. missed really a lot of things.. :P my only comfort was the pit stop we were sort of moving towards in our journey -- KFC Kentucky Fried Chicken.. wahaha.. cos tat was the only place i could see on the map in my half opened eyes tat i can link with rest, food n drinks..
oh ya.. not forgetting to mention abt the sandwiches, we finished them off early in the journey.. cos me n cd's stomach was growling like mad.. :P haha..
hm.. other than kfc.. we went to the fragile forest where butterflies flutter ard.. haha.. me n ah boy n hm rushed straight into the exhibit while cd n wq were behind hesitating hor.. :P hee.. though there wasn't anything much of interest unless u enjoy watching animals running ard u.. butterflies fluttering and all animals uncaged.. (u are in the cage with them already..)
we also went to the small animals exhibit, but it was under renovation, though we did catch a small group of donkeys.. other than tat, hm caught her not so tall giraffes (though advertisments said tallest giraffes in the world, they were shorter than the trees in the zoo.. o.O).. ah erh caught his penguins n da xiang.. cd managed to get replies from primates in the trees..
haha.. cannot forget to say.. recharged after a visit to kfc, me n ah boy kept annoying wq n ah erh with our song of da xiang da xiang plus our rap version..haha.. we even took videos with ah erh's phone to imitate stars on tv n dj..
haha.. plus visits to the wishing well.. n countless photo taken tat day.. :) it's ironical to say, i did go to the zoo.. but my memories abt the animals were vague.. the glad thing is tat wat remained behind were the great company of these frens who made my day so much better.. honestly the animal shows i seen tat day couldn't make it at all.. the animals were not cooperating and they had to cancel a lot of performances and all the trainers could say (excerpt from polar bear "thinking thinking? still thinking?" "dun do this to me" ).. but with this great company, how could i say the trip to the zoo was spoilt in any way.. cos it was practically with them tat i feel so happy and enthusiastic going out there in the first place.. =)
