Happy New Year 2008! :)

Went to countdown with the rsphi ppl last nite..
the turn out was oohh lala
huan, yx, yl, pat, seefu, mt, lt, kj, ibu, alvin, my,
lew, hz, chee loong, grace, rm, ws, cw, jl, des, gen jie n me!
22 ppl!

first, we went to joo chiat road to look for the famous food there..
but due to circumstances and unfamiliarity of the place,
ended up eating fei fei wan ton mee there
food was all right but dun justify the travelling..
so.... the west's so much better in food hor! :P
hahaa..
after tat we went eating at bedok 85 again
a year of longing has passed and yet wat awaits us was ultra spicy food!
barely recovering from the ma la guo tat day,
i was challenged w uber fire on the rocks..
hahaa
ever seen a hao dan (oyster egg) oozing with oyster goodness and egg juice
i hath..
but i didn't expect one to ooze w pure redness..
the first tot was..
"is tat stingray? "
second tot was
"is tat some special sauce.."
but nonono!
the whole hao dan was flooded w chilli and more chilli!!
so red i can't see the original colour of the egg! scary!!

the other food was more spicy than normal as well..
sambal stingray, sotong, satay..
the taste was still all right for me n i did kinda thrive in chilli
but i guess many spoilt their appetite just having bare mouthfuls of them
hahaa.. yx did get kinda fired up by the chilli..

guessed the stalls had too much chilli to go ard
since the place was relatively much more empty compared to last year

after tat went gen jie's house! :)
haha.. first time to her house..
and jiu flood her home w tat many ppl..
we were quite noisy w the countdown
and the ktv-ing w the scv tw countdown show
it's a marvel no one did call the police.. haha

oh.. after the countdown,
surprised gen jie w our surprise bday celebration for her!
hahaa.. surprise surprise! hahaa
countdown to ur bday we did! hahaha..
she had to put on her new clothes
and be a model for taking photos w us! :)

also played life
and later on..
had great fun making turkey salad w hz, grace, gen jie and pat! :D
seefu was our camera lady..
and we shredded the turkey, heated it in the oven
boiled the potatoes
and then mashed them together w mayo and pepper!
toasted bread to put the spread over it...
and remainder to eat on its own..
though some parts of the potato still felt raw..
it was already delicious! :) no worries gen jie!

after tat, baked brownies with huan and yl..
and gen jie bang tou bang wei..
first time.. fun experience! :)
and results not bad.. though i'm not really a dessert person..
but nonetheless to eat something u make w ur own hands
always give off tat sense of achievement and satisfaction.. :)

breakfast for us was at 7+am at Bedok mac
and the day concluded for me
as we OVE few went to the airport to send kb off..
and then sleeping all the way back to bl on the train..

rewarding!
also got to know lotsa ppl there as well..
notable ones are those from the comm..
like ms cow, sticky, tudi, juan, yh, qs, hanz, jere,
and also those from my group C! :)
SA, qian jie, walker long, ronald, karyin, joey..

went OVE 07 to Phillipines Visayas!
a lifetime experience..
living there w the villagers brought
a sense of simplicity and life back to me..
the group i went w also thumbs up! :)
shanghai beach! qiang jie, nai ma, kb! :D
jeremy, rain of visayas - ian, mingyang,
tudi's bro, jessica, ls, roomie!

mmm..
still got so much to say..
bdays, song signs courses (i reached intermediate le!),
xmas ss, xmas gift exchanges
not forgetting episodes from sch.. PL lab feng bo, results..

and supported me all these while..
not forgetting all life's dian dian di di..
little bits make up big pieces.. :)
