Part time frenzy!

haha.. been missing in action on my blog since May 12
tat's like so long ago..

here's it..
a summary of my 2 weeks worth of updates..

after the fyp presentation, been going to sch for some toning up..
but good days dun last, just a few days of wanting to exercise,
all the part time jobs started coming in one after another..

Sign Language

Not really a part time job.. haha
went w des n huan to nus to teach sign language
to this group of students bringing hi kids to the zoo
fun teaching and great to see them so interested in the signs.. :)
ohh.. saw rw in the nus art canteen! super long nvr see le! :)
n also tried the famed laksa yong tau foo there
haha.. still liked our nie yong tau foo more! :)
n our portion and variety definitely much bigger and more comparatively! :)

Road Marshalling

the first real job was road marshalling w watson at kallang stadium..
there's this test drive for smrt new fleet of taxis..
n i was assigned to be at the entrance directing all the taxis in
and also the test vehicles to drive inwards here..
watson's assigned place was slightly inwards

sorta a menial task..
sunburnt until v shuang..
almost dehydrated there..
n it was almost a solo thing
from morning till ard 530pm w only a lunch break in between

haha.. but we got to "know" some showgirls tat were there..
(well at least someone did know.. haha)

after tat marshalling,
got sick for a full day before embarking on my 2nd part time job

Data Support

data support w yy at this scaffolding company..
not much to do there except this software i'm tasked to develop
the boss v nice.. haha.. keep treating food..
from breakfast to lunch everyday.. eat until paiseh..
n the timing hours really flexible so far..
since the pay is by clocking the hours..
so i'm able to work from home like i'm doing these days! :)

oh.. even went to sim lim w yy during office hours to purchase lappie for boss..
haha.. feels fun to be able to slip out of office for a just cause..
it's like old days..
the times we collect listing from outram n went to eat good food and buy tidbits! :)

in between doing this job, i took a short break to do the third part time job

Leadership Workshop

I went to coach p6/p4 kids at gombak's lianhua pri w jun n cal.. :)
fun! and it was really memorable.. :)
long time nvr see cal too! :) nice updates!
it was a walk down memory lane in the pri sch.. w all the small kids running ard
and the portion of food was really small..

it was a wholesome experience! :)
my group took 6 Sapphire and
my speaker n fellow trainer were great! :) lee ching n junhao..
they hath the makings of a teacher man..
esp lee ching (tat explains y she's an nie trainee :D )
the seh and the teacherness just oozes out when she speaks
when junhao comments, the kids listen too..
i hath so much to learn!

we each took a group in the class, mine was jack jack, lee ching's violet and junhao's dash.
haha.. had a slow climb to bonding w my jack jack group (group of 6 girls)
but overall, it was heart warming to finally be their coach
and recognised by them as their coach

Here's my group's mind map. The part i feel so gratified was when i saw my name on the paper!
coach TL! the only group mind map w a coach name inside, and when i asked how come my name is inside, they said cos i'm their coach! gan dong! :') simple words touch the heart and i'm proud of them even if our group didn't turn out first! i can see their effort! :)

and oh, our mind map got the best mind map! :D


so flattered by their comments on the after workshop survey as well..
remember me o jack jacks.. jiayou! :)

oh not forgetting the v cute Damien we saw during recess on the first day..
haha he kept us laughing for a long time.. grown up antics from such a small boy..
haha.. really unexpected..
rem the part he told us abt the assembly, his gossip abt the vp
the curry chicken lookalike and the skinny part he said he wanted to become..
from a p1 kid! omg.. haha..
n no.. lee ching, he's not my son or brother.. haha..

pity we didn't take any photos for our group..
so can't see our sapphire nor our trainers..
