Congrats Official Upper Study!

Went to a wedding dinner at sheraton towers
the wedding of my official upper study in army, kenneth and his wife jennifer! :)
congrats kenneth and jennifer! :)

haha..
the wedding is truely an amazing one!
after attending it, it still feels like a dream.
albeit the dream of an ou xiang ju!

from the gold rimmed polished winding staircase entrance..
to the very long tables filled w the reception crew, handling registration
and the vast amount of well dressed guests in suits n evening gowns
just waiting n socializing outside..
i felt immediately out of place if not for my other seniors who were with me.
it almost felt like a networking session man.. haha..

there's even a reception for the guests
with small coffee tables and flower petals ard..

wat is this wedding i hath come to..
the surrounding so grand tat my short sleeved shirt
stood out exceedingly well.. hahaa

we were seated at table one..
and i counted 18 chandeliers on the ceiling above us!
the pillars were gold too! :O

wat was astonishing abt this wedding..
is really the pai chang..
all our dishes were served by a waiter assigned to our table..
i only need to pick up the chopsticks and eat..
first time! :O drunken chicken and suckling pig as the cold dish!
and lotsa crab! (i can't eat.. but accidentally ate)
soft shelled crab n those.. omg..
scallops. big scallops!!
and the cutlery,
chopsticks n metal soup spoons
hath metal ornate holds to place them..
and plates are changed after every serving..

and halfway through,
our groom and bride actually had a slow waltz dance
in the middle of the ballroom!
imagine.. how big the place is!

as table number 1,
we were actually my upper's brothers table!
when he called for yam seng at the stage..
the 9 of us (exclude yc's wife) actually had
to run to the stage to yam seng w him..
n the setup was tat there are these waitress holding
glasses n glasses of white wine for us to just grab n go on stage n yam seng..
omg.. first time also! haha but fun! :D though it feels awkward to go on stage..
underdressed! haha

ohh.. my first time as brothers table,
we tried to make the groom drunk! hahaa
for every glass we down, the groom has to down one glass too..
hahaa.. 9 ppl in our table each 1 glass = 9 glasses
groom = 9 glasses alone from our table!
haha.. high!! :D
alas.. he got saved by the bride and his father just before we got him drunk..
hahaa.. but it was fun to ta ta ta!

ohh..
the relatives of the wedding couple comes from all over the world..
australia, indonesia, china, malaysia and singapore! haha..
doctors and professionals n those.. (cos they thanked them in the speech)
n my table alone..
all my seniors are employed and professionals..
some even has businesses i think! scary!
hahaa.. and the way and the stuff they talk abt
abt marriage and work and government grants, CPF, housing n those..
feels simply out of my league n foreign!
haha.. is tat the life i'm going to plunge into once i grad

or maybe..
i ought to start thinking as well..

haha..
overall, the wedding was grand, fun and most importantly blissful!
though i'm quite broke from the ang bao as well..
haha..

sidenote : being xiong di tuan of frens getting married feels so fun!
anyone getting married, can jio me to be in ur xiong di tuan! :D
i dun mind jie mei tuan also! haha! :D
